Pizza, Friends and a Tragic Car Accident
People enjoying an evening of pizza and friendship don’t expect to have their evening interrupted by a tragedy. That’s just what happened at a New Jersey pizza establishment near Fredon. A little after 9 p.m. a customer came running into the restaurant saying there had been a car accident.
The customer asked if there were any flashlights available. People grabbed cell phones and went to help. The accident occurred just a short distance from the pizza place. Those with cell phones used their cell phone flash lights to slow traffic.
The accident occurred along a dark, poorly lit stretch of road. A Lincoln MKZ was traveling northbound and hit a Toyota Camry that was traveling southbound. The Lincoln was then hit by a Ford Explorer. The driver of the Lincoln died at the scene and the seriously-injured driver of the Camry was airlifted to an area hospital. The driver of the Explorer was not injured, and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
The sudden death of a loved one due to a car accident in New Jersey is never easy to bear, and friends and family may be overwhelmed with feelings of grief and shock. Their initial concern will be for surviving family members and loved ones. In searching for answers, a conversation with an experienced personal injury attorney may help to explore options for legal recourse. A knowledgeable lawyer can evaluate the case and assist his or her client in determining if a civil suit against the party deemed responsible is a viable option. A successful claim can provide compensation for medical costs, final costs and other verifiable losses.
