A Tragic Car Accident is an Ever-Present Threat
Congested traffic is a known concern in New Jersey. Remaining safe on the crowded roadways requires remaining alert and always being on the lookout for the unexpected. Defensive driving remains one of the best ways to avoid a tragic car accident. But when a wrong-way driver enters the picture, reacting in time to such an unexpected and unpredictable occurrence may not always be possible.
In the early morning hours on a recent Friday there was a horrific crash that appears to have been caused by a wrong-way driver. The accident occurred on eastbound Interstate 80 near Parsippany. An unknown number of vehicles were involved in the crash and all vehicles sustained significant damage. One car may have caught fire.
Three people died as a result of the crash, two women and a man who were all from the local area. It is not known if they were all in one vehicle. The driver who reportedly was driving the wrong way on the highway was transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. There is a suspicion that alcohol or speed may have contributed to the cause of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
A person seldom considers the possibility of being involved in a car accident as he or she goes about a normal daily routine in New Jersey. Sadly, the possibility is very much a reality. Losing a loved one to such a tragedy can cause emotional trauma from which it may be difficult to recover. Seeking the council of an experienced personal injury attorney can provide a client with information regarding possible legal options.
