1 Dead in Dump Truck Accident in New Jersey
A young woman is dead and her family and friends left grieving after a tragic accident in New Jersey. According to reports, the woman was crossing a street when she was struck by a vehicle. The truck accident is still under investigation by local authorities.
On July 28, a 32-year-old woman was hit by a dump truck while she was crossing the street. It is said that she was in the crosswalk at the time of the collision. She was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment, but she died shortly after arriving. She is remembered by her family and friends as being an art and science lover who was always active and outgoing.
At this time, no charges have been filed against the driver of the truck. Police do not believe that cell phone use or excessive speed contributed to the wreck. The driver does, apparently, have several traffic citations on his record, stemming from incidents in another state.
This heartbreaking loss of life is something which the victim’s loved ones may struggle with throughout the remainder of their lives – at least on emotional levels. This truck accident may also cause financial hardship as well. In order to recoup some of the losses suffered as a result of this incident, a wrongful death claim may be filed against the driver and his employer in an effort to seek compensation. If successfully navigated, this type of legal action may result in a New Jersey civil court granting monetary relief to the victim’s surviving family members.
