New Jersey Man Dies After Truck Accident
It can be intimidating for a driver in a small car to be on the road with other vehicles that are much larger. The size difference raises concerns of driver visibility and awareness of the surrounding cars whose occupants may be more likely to suffer serious injury in the event of a crash. New Jersey drivers, especially truck drivers, must be mindful of smaller vehicles on the roadway to avoid a potential truck accident.
On a recent Monday morning, an accident occurred involving a dump truck and two other vehicles. It is reported that the two vehicles suffered major damage. The dump truck also suffered damage as it overturned as a result of the accident. A 42-year-old man became trapped in his car during the incident. Emergency crews were able to remove him from the vehicle and take him to the local hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, the man succumbed to the injuries he suffered from the accident. Other drivers suffered minor injuries in the three-vehicle accident. The crash remains under investigation, though no charges have been filed at this time.
Truck accidents involving other vehicles occur every day, many times with much smaller vehicles. If the evidence suggests that the truck driver was negligent in the truck accident, the family of the deceased may have grounds to file a wrongful death claim. If successfully litigated, the claim can help offset the financial burdens a family may face in the event of an unexpected death. Families facing similar situations can enlist the help of a New Jersey attorney to begin the filing process for a wrongful death claim.
