Worst of the Worst
The stretch of State Road 129 at Trenton is ranked as far and away as the worst stretch of road in New Jersey. The specific stretch of that roadway where traffic fatalities are particularly high consists of about 2.5 miles. The fatality rate is at 72.6 fatalities per 100 miles. This is almost twice the rate of the stretch of roadway at Camden, which is in second place. It is almost four times greater than the stretch or road in 10th place in New Jersey.
